1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Driving Compass LLC ("Driving Compass," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, or use our carrier safety, compliance training, quiz, scheduling, email, text messaging, calendar, and related professional services (collectively, the "Services").

Driving Compass primarily provides business services to commercial carriers, partners, trainers, and professional drivers in the United States. When a carrier or another customer provides us with information about its personnel, that organization may control the information and your request may need to be directed to it.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the Services you use, we may collect:

• Account and contact information: names, email addresses, business addresses, mobile telephone numbers, time zones, login credentials, communication preferences, consent records, and organization memberships.
• Carrier and business information: company names, USDOT numbers, contacts, addresses, operating information, public regulatory records, and customer configuration.
• Driver and workforce information: names, employee numbers, contact details, license state and number, employment dates, assigned carrier, and information supplied by the driver, carrier, or an authorized administrator.
• Safety and training information: FMCSA and CSA reports, inspection and violation history, safety measurements, risk indicators, notes, training recommendations, quiz assignments, responses, scores, progress, attendance, and completion records.
• Files and content: uploaded reports, email and text-message content, inbound text replies, delivery status, support requests, form submissions, and content you or your organization provides through the Services.
• Scheduling and integration information: training availability, appointments, attendee information, connected calendar account information, authorization tokens, external event identifiers, and synchronization status.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, session and security data, request logs, page visits, downloads, outbound-link activity, and interaction with our website.

3. Sources of Information

We collect information directly from you; from carriers, employers, partners, trainers, and other authorized users; from your use of the Services; from connected services; and from public or commercial sources such as FMCSA, USDOT, and carrier-information providers.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide, administer, secure, maintain, and improve the Services;
• analyze carrier safety and inspection patterns and develop relevant training;
• manage accounts, organizations, drivers, quizzes, training, scheduling, and communications;
• connect calendars and create, update, or remove Driving Compass training events;
• respond to inquiries, provide support, and send requested or operational email and text messages;
• send safety tips or marketing communications when permitted, subject to your opt-out choices;
• detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms; and
• comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights, safety, and property.

5. Customer Organizations and Driver Records

A carrier, employer, or other customer may create accounts, provide driver information, assign training, review results, and control access to records within its workspace. Authorized customer administrators, trainers, and partners may see information relevant to their responsibilities. If your information was provided by an organization, contact that organization first for employment-related access, correction, or deletion requests. We will assist the organization as reasonably required.

Driving Compass provides training and safety-support tools. We do not make employment decisions for our customers, and customers are responsible for how they use reports, indicators, recommendations, and training records.

6. Google API and Google Calendar Data

When you connect Google Calendar, we may:

• receive authorization credentials and related details, such as the granted scope, access token, refresh token, and token expiration information;
• create, update, and delete Driving Compass training events on the connected trainer's primary calendar;
• send event titles, descriptions, locations, start and end times, attendee names and email addresses, and reminder settings to Google; and
• store encrypted authorization tokens, account metadata, external event identifiers, and synchronization or error status.

Driving Compass does not use the connection to retrieve or analyze unrelated calendar events. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, determine creditworthiness, or send it to AI providers. We limit human access to support, security, legal, or other circumstances permitted by Google policy and applicable law.

Driving Compass's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you disconnect Google Calendar, we attempt to revoke Google's authorization and clear the stored access and refresh tokens. We may retain limited connection and event-reference metadata for security, audit, support, or legal purposes. Disconnecting stops future synchronization, but events already created in Google Calendar may remain there until you delete them. You can also revoke access through your Google Account's third-party connections settings.

7. AI-Assisted Features

We may use AI service providers to help generate, review, or translate regulatory and training content. When an authorized user invokes an AI-assisted feature, relevant prompts, regulatory materials, training content, and resulting output may be processed by the provider supporting that feature. Driving Compass does not send Google Calendar data to AI providers or use Google user data to train generalized AI models.

AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is subject to human review. It is not the sole basis for employment, legal, regulatory, insurance, safety, or compliance decisions.

8. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information:

• to the customer organization and its authorized administrators, trainers, partners, and users;
• to hosting, storage, security, analytics, email, telecommunications, calendar, support, and AI service providers that process information for us;
• to event attendees when an authorized user schedules training or sends an invitation;
• when you direct us to disclose information or consent to the disclosure;
• to comply with law or protect rights, safety, security, and property; or
• in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to telecommunications and other service providers solely to operate the messaging program, when you direct us to do so, or when disclosure is required by law.

9. Analytics, Security Technology, and Communications

We use privacy-focused website analytics to understand visits, downloads, and outbound links. We also use session technology and security services such as Cloudflare Turnstile to operate the website, prevent abuse, and protect forms. These services may process IP address, browser, device, and interaction information under their own terms.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Operational, security, account, training, and transaction messages may still be sent when necessary to provide the Services.

If you personally opt in to Driving Compass SMS messages, we may send recurring transactional texts about account verification, quizzes, training scheduling and attendance, cancellations, and carrier data requests. Message frequency varies, up to 12 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to withdraw SMS consent or HELP for assistance. Withdrawing SMS consent does not withdraw consent for email or prevent you from using Services that do not require text messaging.

10. Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and training records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and maintain backups. Retention varies based on the type of information, customer instructions, contractual requirements, and applicable law.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption for designated sensitive fields and authorization tokens. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the context in which we process information, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may verify your identity, direct an organization-controlled request to the relevant customer, retain information where legally permitted, and deny requests that an applicable law does not require us to fulfill.

To make a privacy or data-deletion request, use our contact form and select Privacy / Data Request. Authorized agents should identify the person they represent and provide proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

12. Children, United States Processing, and Changes

The Services are intended for business use by adults age 18 or older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Driving Compass operates in the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States. We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
